Drawer Fetish

We have two cats Yuko and Mushu. Mark say Yuko has the personality of a 14 year old girl, which is darn right accurate. We orginally adopted Yuko to keep Mushu company after he dissapeared for 6 days and we decided his days strutting the neighbourhood were over. After we brought her home, she pretty much disdained Mushu, which quickly converted him into a pathetic stalking sychophant. She has also managed to pretty much wrap Mark and I around her paw (what can I say she is soft and she likes to cuddle, and as Mark says, I'm easy). However, there are a few little habits that the princess has developed over the last little while that have Mark and I perplexed. First, she has developed a $1.25 a day addiction to Tuna. You had better move if you are the first one through the door at the end of the day, because she is already on the counter meowing at you, then she starts what I call the the Yuko pee pee dance, where she stomps her two back feet while holding her shaking tail total erect. I am sure this is just the need for a new fix, but I remarked to Mark that Yuko's mind must go something like this - Get up in the Morning, TUNA, TUNA, TUNA, nap, TUNA, TUNA, TUNA, bathroom, TUNA, TUNA, TUNA, look out the window. And while we sadly enable this addiction she has now developed a new fetish for dresser drawers. She wants to get into the dresser and climb around in the back. Therefore, she has taken to pulling out the drawers. I don't even want to think how she is doing this without opposable thumbs. Obviously she is curious, but for what we don't know. We fear that there may have been a rumour circulating that the back of the dresser is where cats can find the land of endless tuna.

Isn't it funny how pets get their fettishes? And now we indulge their every whim? I sometimes wonder who owns who.
