Re-evaluating

Last night I went to bed at 9:45. I was asleep exactly 20 seconds after my head hit the pillow. I have never been so happy to go to bed so early. Though Katya, thankfully, slept until 8am this morning, I could have put in another couple of hours of sleep time.

On Tuesday, Mark had Katya to himself for the whole day. He said to me 2 things: he could get used to doing playdates, sipping coffee, eating timbits. And number two: Jenny is a super mom and he would have been lost without her. For her part Jenny just said he appeared clueless and disorientated, like he had forgotten to take his medication or hit his head hard. I told her I would tell no one about the fact he put her swim suit on backwards.

Until this week, I really had no idea of how un-kid friendly Lethbridge is. I mean, no offense, but we are Mormon central. Everyone has kids. Not just one, but multiples. Where do all these poor mom's go to get a break? Well, no where I have learned. So I have learned to love nap time. Nap time is what keeps you sane.

Nap time is your happy time until at about 3 and a half nap time disappears, fortunately that also tends to mean they go to bed a little earlier then Night time becomes happy time.

And tell Mark it's ok, I still get my daughters clothes on backwards, regularly. I think women's clothing from the Bra to the Baby Bathing suits were specifically engineered to confuse men. I mean with men's clothing at least we have a tag at the back and a hole in the front, now that's simple.
