Can We Talk Pants?

First off to those of you out there who are doing it the right I apologize for this post, but I have just had a week of truly awful pants viewing. First off, hems. The hem of you pants should just GRAZE the ground when you wear them with your favorite shoes. Find a good tailor, take the shoes with you, this is not rocket science. Floods have never been in.

Second, pants should be worn just below the waist (anything lower will be ludicrious if you are over 21) not below the armpits or below the breasts. Repeat this five times then feel free to continue shopping.

Thirdly, pants are meant to fall from the hips into a either a bootcut or wider flare. Are you a super model - no? Then you can't wear drain pipe jeans (see earlier rant on
skinny jeans
).

However, pants should also not be tight enought that they bunch at the top of the thighs or reveal your love of bikini breifs. Really is it so hard to follow these rules?

I remember in University you once gave me such s&*t for my pants being too short!! But in my defence, I'm 5'10 and it's only recently that they started making pants long enough for me!! My mum used to try to take the hem down on my stuff but there was never enough hem!! Now I just use short pants as an excuse to wear outrageous socks!
