Must We Remove All the Love?

I loves me a tall Mocha at Starbucks, I feel it is my reward for being my special self, and I look forward to this reward once a week. The other day I learned I could have my mocha with low fat milk, to which I replied, 'Do we have to take ALL the love out?'. Then I went to Starbucks website and learned that by using low fat milk I save 60 calories, so I decided to try it. No what? It didn't taste any different. So now I have my mocha with a little less love, but still with the whipped cream topping.

However, this got me thinking, why are we obsessed with taking all the love out of our food? There are certain things that I just refuse to de-love. I will NEVER take the skin off my chicken, where do you think the all the taste comes from? I am not going to give up my glass of wine with supper just because someone terms it empty calories. It is just plain wrong to take the yolks out of your eggs. I mean, damn, why eat eggs then? If all you have left is the white stuff just skip your eggs and eat tofu, for crying out loud. Stop the de-loving of food before we become a nation of wheat juice drinking freaks.

I refuse to give up half and half in my cream. Coffee is just not worth it with out it. I mean, I gotta live!
