Addictive

I am a prolific TV watcher. I love TV. What I hate is getting addicted to a show that gets cancelled or ends prematurely. Lately, all I seem to get into are shows that follow that fate: Life on Mars, Veronica Mars, and Rome.

Am I some sort of weirdo who only likes the Edsels of Television? All of these shows are critical darlings. Some how that doesn't seem to help. No amount of praise seems to save truly entertaining shows. Yet, all the depressing, crap profiling someone being murdered in ways that would make people think the Exorcist was lame keep going. When did sleeping with the resident hottie or eating bugs become must watch TV?

It is getting to the point where I am loath to commit to any show. It is like the most painful unrequited love. The feeling where you know something you are going to care for, think about, and worry over is in a slow marching to infinity.

You can add 'Arrested Development' to that mix. Such a great show, but they also did a great job wrapping it up in the end.

You know that is so funny. I am just getting into this show now that it has been cancelled! Add another show to the Firefly pile.
