Mine, mine, mine

This past weekend I got to hang out with the bff. Because it was Easter her mom had put together an Easter basket full of chocolates. More than she could ever sanely eat. But sane isn't something that runs in our family. If it did I wouldn't try eating a whole can of icing by myself. Ok, like I dream of eating a whole can of icing. She had that kind of look on her face. In fact, she was happily rubbing chocolate eggs all over her face, when I made the cardinal Aunt sin. I asked if I could have one.

She looked askew at me. Then her face sort of crumpled up so that pieces of chocolate started dripping on her shirt. When Jill said, 'share with Auntie Heidi'. She looked at her mom, calculated her chances of making it to Mexico, and decided to go with a blank stare. Which clearly conveyed to us that she had NO idea what we were talking about. If she could have spoken in Spanish at that exact moment she would have. Anything to not give up one ounce of chocolate.

Chocolate is crack for kiddies. Think of asking her for a chocolate as being similar to asking a junkie for his last hit of cocaine; the killer instinct emerges. My advice: wait until the bff is sleeping and then raid her basket.

Heh. I ate a whole jar of icing in three days and then bought another one. Does that count? It was one of those weeks. ;-)

It absolutely doesn't count if it was a bad day! Next time, if you need help - email! :-)
