Flickr

This is a test post from flickr, a fancy photo sharing thing.

Today, Mark sent me an story from the Globe and Mail that Yahoo will be shutting down their photo site and recommending that people move to Flickr in June. It just so happens I had recently read an article about how to port my photo to Flickr, so I am in the process of doing that now. Hence, this fancy email. I am testing out some of the VERY cool features in Flickr. And there are a lot.

At this point I must say that if you are looking for a photo site, go with Flickr, I am finding the move to be relatively painless. However, I do know that Becky uses Picasa and swears by it as well.

Update: It appears I spoke to soon. The process I am using is not porting my photos over. Yahoo says they will create a single click process to do this. Gee, wouldn't it have been nice if they had of released that at the same time as they put out their press release.
