Love Songs

We are living in a time where no one writes love songs anymore.

And by love songs I mean songs that are actually about love. Not: having your heart broken, unrequited love, sex, hooking up, or bragging about how much hotter/better you are. I mean LOVE.

You know, the kind you feel when you just want to spend every minute of your day with someone. Where you grab your cell excitedly whenever it rings. When you softly argue over which person loves the other more. The type where you laugh a lot, spend most of your time smiling, and actually think the world looks a little prettier.

I was thinking about this the other day as I was listening to Micheal Buble's new song Everything. My favorite line goes,

And I can't believe, uh that I'm your man,
And I get to kiss you baby, just because I can.

I just love that he is so excited that he JUST gets to kiss her! Whenever he wants! Not grind. Take home. Or, sadly, gets to smack that. KISS! When I think about that, I feel like I am sitting in a warm bath with chocolate melting in my mouth.

So I told Mark. He looked at me askew, and jokingly said, 'all women are good for is shaking their junk.' I love him, but Mark hasn't got a romantic bone in his body!

I Love Michael Bubble! I think his best one is 'save the last dance for me' I'm not sure if that is the title, but it is in the chorus all the time! I still like to hear music about 'smacking it' but you can never ignore a true crooner!

I too am in love with Michael Buble and his tunes!. If you get a chance, check out the song "I'm your Man" of his new cd! His voice. . . sigh. It makes me happy.
