From the Potting Training Trenches

For the past week I was in Medicine Hat, helping Jillian with her Trade show booth and babysitting Katya. All I have to say is that it was exhausting. Below is a typical day.

Day Number?!?!... oh, who f$cking cares, I'm never getting out alive!
I have been up with Katya since 6:30 (so Jill could get some sleep). All together this morning we have: swung, coloured, eaten, watched Aladdin, run around and gone to the potty more times than I can count.

Dad has made the biggest blunder off all time in the potty training war, he has given her a portable potty in the living room. Which, of course, she prefers to the toilet so that she can watch TV. How is that for first class luxury? The less then fabulous part is that the pot slides out, so when she goes she insists on pulling it out and carrying it to the bathroom herself. She carries it, how shall we say? Precariously. Then once there we get to wrestle over it because she doesn't so much dump it into the toilet as fling it in the direction of the toilet. I found this out the hard way.

After we have dumped the pot she wants to turn the bidet on full blast to wash it out. This could take the better part of an hour to do, or until she has to go again. I don't think my heart can take if she has to go to the potty again today. I am now hiding all sippy cups to preserve my sanity.

Dude. That is horrible! This is why Auntie Gita does not partake in potty training. Ever. Auntie Gita is good for x-box, lunch, computer time, movie time, playing dinosaurs and cars, reading a book. But potty training is way, WAY out of my range.
