Charms for the Charming

Right now I am SO obsessed with my charm bracelet. My mom bought me a very cool and sparkly crown charm this weekend and I have just been gazing at it all day. Turning my hand this way, then that way so that I can see how it sparkles. Which has totally made me realize I NEED more charms. But is it really a good idea to buy charms for yourself? Sort of seems like the equivalent of buying a engagement ring for yourself when there is no man in sight.

Since I have decided it is really inappropriate that I buy myself charms, except on special occasions (special occasion anyone?) I have decided I need to start pressuring Mark to buying me some. Now this is easier said then done. Mark is deathly afraid of all jewelry stores; completely clueless about when to buy gifts, Christmas and Birthday's being an exception; and would rather send for anthrax through the mail then spend money on trinkets. His philosophy is, he married me, bought me a ring, and sat through the whole wedding fiasco, his jewelry buying days have been safely put to bed.

Yet....

I think he is buying me two new charms for Valentines Day! Forget that thing about old dogs and new tricks.

You could always just print out the pictures of the ones you want and just sorta put them around the house, and discreetly put, "I want this, please by it" so he'll have an idea what you might like! LOL

You should do what Blair on Gossip Girl does. She goes to the jewelery store and puts what she likes on hold. then all Mark has to do is go into the store and ask what his wife has identified.

Let me know if you have a silver or gold bracelet. Maybe I can find something different while we are away. If you go and pick it out yourself, then it won't be a surprise. Mind you, it would be a surprise for Mark. I have done this many times at Christmas. lol
