At the Banff Legion: Epicenter of the Banff World
It is 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon. We are at the Banff Legion. The room has gone from spartan to dense in 20 minutes. Locals who have been here for years have turned out. Taking a drink. Shaking a hand. Talking about the town. The changes, good, and bad. The Legion is the best kept secret in the valley to newbies, drifters, hippies, & tourists. It is a community within a community. I have a colleague who is making her first trip to Banff next week and I have told her that you rate the Legion as the best kept secret!
