I Did What On the Internet?

In finishing off my Ph.D application I decided to do a quick Google search on my name, as my application will now go to facility and they can choose me as their mentee. I can’t even get over what up comes up! I am ALL over the net, and stuff I wasn’t even aware of shows up. Nothing bad, I long ago locked down Facebook and sketchy Flickr and Scrapblog stuff, but I show up on SlideShare as a picture from my Flickr account was used, on a recipe site where again I am credited with the photo, and in the comments sections of blogs I haven’t commented on in years. I even have references on Wikipedia to reviews I have written.  Forget email lives forever, anything you put on the Internet lives forever!

And more photos are credited here and here (in a article written in Spanish, no less). This tells me one thing, my Flickr Analytics suck. I had no idea my images were all over the internet. Hey, I think that is fabulous, but these are not showing up in my Flickr stats. Now I have to figure out how to do that.

Hope you were happy with how I attributed your photo-I'll be happy to change the name to something else if you'd like :)

Good luck on your PHD-that's more work than I ever wanted to do, and I can totally see why you'd want to do a name search. Oh, and BTW, I have a frugal living site, I just post recipes as well.
