Bosom Friends

I have been very lucky in my life to have a number of bosom friends.

For those who have never read Anne of Green Gables, a bosom friend is one who sticks with you though thick and thin. A person who sees and recognizes your true character and rather than laughs, falls back in fright or decides that they need more friends with brand name clothes, embraces you as one of their people.

They don't care that you have an annoying saying that has come to define all your conversations. They ignore the fact that you have to go to the bathroom five times a night, or that you rub your nose in a way that seems like you might be fishing for a bugger.

They love you just the way you are.

Or more realistically, they love you the way you behave in public. And will tuck you into bed on your side with your hair pulled back on those days when you don't.

I count myself as lucky for being part of the pack. I'm always willing to hold your hair back or tell you if your shoes don't work with your outfit (like that would EVER happen).

I know I have been MIA in a number of recent events. I hope I still make it in the bosom pack! We are such a groovy group right now, but hey...that's how we roll!
