Lately, I have noticed a disturbing proliferation of the use of the upside down V. I can only postulate it is because, IT IS SO COOL!
You know the gesture I am talking about. You bring your arm up to a 45 degree angle while holding your fingers in an upside down version of the Vulcan 'live long and prosper' sign. Or what a hippie elder might call a bastardization of the most important symbol in the world.
This move is especially useful when your hanging with your posse, or as the kids call it today, their crew. Sipping some micro brew from the coolest gastro bar in town; talking about all the hoes you got with. And suddenly, there it is - the perfect opportunity to demonstrate your impeccable grasp of popular culture. So you throw down an upside down V. Man, you are so happening! You, my friend, belong.
But it is also a tricky manoeuvre. If you get overzealous you might include three fingers. Which makes you look like a wannabe dickhead. Or if you try to under play it and just use one finger, it appears like you are pointing at your unmentionables. It is a thin line between happening and over.

Never fear Heidi, I have my finger on the pulse of cool. Stick with me Kiddo and you will be a rock star! We all know 'that's how I roll!'.
Are we a posse? and I am all over the hand signals, my favorite still being the middle finger in the upright position.
when Im hangin with my bittchiz and pimpz, I like to drop it like it hot, just kick it like tae-bo and for shizzle mix it up down home style. You did us a solid, peep. Thanks for keepin it real. . .
