Toe Hang

Oh, for the love of Louboutin, Blahnik, and Choo - toe hang must be ended by all means!

You know how I feel about bare feet. Please, don't get me started on under buffed and polished toe nails. I can't even bring myself to talk about heels. Shit! I just imaged heels. Freaky, chaffing, calloused heels.

It 'tis the time of year for every type of shoe horning accident. Women with feet pressed into inappropriately small shoes abound. Ladies, I know you love those open toe shoes. I do. Especially, the cute little 40's inspired Espadrilles. There is no point in debating the point - they ARE fabulous. And would look show stopping. But if your toes look like a piece of straw rammed through the truck of a tree by a tornado, I am afraid they are not for you.

There is nothing as unattractive as a woman with open toe shoes that looks like their toes are going to: go cross eyed, black, or used to create enough friction to stop a car. If they hang over the end, honey those shoes are to damn small. Or if you MUST, you just can't image in the summer without them consider getting shoe inserts to stop your foot from flooding the front end like spring run off in the mountains.

As someone with long finger like toes I am totally paranoid about this. There's no shame in going up a shoe size if it means a better fit.

I wear a size 10 and proud of it. If it doesn't fit, it doesn't come home. No matter how cute. I'm too old to wear shoes that will leave permanent damage on my feet.
