Today my husband got to experience what I have always dreamed of. He got to go inside the space ship. The Enterprise. Where Kirk, Picard, Sisko, and Janeway all got to stand. I. Have. Major. Envy.
I am sure he got to say, 'make it so.' I have never gotten to say it. I have dreamed of it, but I have not had the chance. Not on the ACTUAL space ship, anyway. If he didn't say it, he wasted an opportunity.
A few weeks ago my friend Erin got a job with the tourism council in Vulcan, AB. A town who's main claim to fame is one of the biggest Star Trek conventions in Canada. And today Mark got to go visit her. In the Space ship. Yes, Vulcan's tourism centre is shaped like the star ship Enterprise.
To quote Margarita, and to show my geek roots, I am to old for Hogwarts and Star Fleet Academy hasn't been invented yet. Story of my life.
