It Can't Be August Already

Yet, sadly it is.

Where did the Summer go? How come it seems that time passes so much faster these days? I have just been enjoying my backyard and happily gazing at the greenery when it dawned on me, summer will soon be over. All we have to look forward to is back to school commercials and shopping for drab coloured clothes. Sigh.

In a way Summer has become like New Year's Eve for me. You know how you used to get all excited about going out for New Years? Big plans, big outfit and every year it dissappointed you. So much so that now you barely even make plans for it? That is how Summer is beginning to feel for me. I was so convinced it was going to be fabulous fun and last forever, and then you get caught up running errands on your days off and before you even have had a chance to relax, the leaves are falling off the trees.

Man, how did I get so cynical.
