I knew this day would come. And it wasn't like I didn't want to make the change. I am just lazy, and busy, and have way too much TV to watch. But, at last, they have invented a feature for Blogger in Draft that I just MUST have. Which means I need to switch from my old template set-up to the new layout design. Imagine it as thus: my site = pre-clean up 42nd street, layout designs = the water show at the Bellagio.
Now I know you think this sounds easy. But it isn't. Do you have any idea how jury rigged this blog is? If you look close you can actually see where I have stuck gum to stop leaks. Or the stairs we spend thousands on that go nowhere. It is not a pretty site. In the HTML that is. Over the 3 years I have had this blog, I have tweaked, hacked at, pasted and in a million other ways as well, violated the underlining glue of this site. Sometimes you can only get something to do what you want in the most backward way possible, so instead of a few lines of code, I have dozens. Some work, some don't, completely forgotten which is which.
But it appears it is time. I am going to need to start working on a new site. I guess I could spruce up the design a little. This site does look like shit in Firefox. Another project. Just what I was dying to do. Sigh.
